The epicenter of the OTSO TRAIL DOG will take place in Plaça dels Arínsols d'Encamp, where all the circular circuits will start and finish.

In this 4th edition, we propose 3 100% Trail Running routes through the beautiful mountains of Encamp:

7k

Circular route of 7km and 467 meters of positive slope that offers panoramic views of the parish of Encamp and the mountains that surround it. It is ideal for those people who want to start in the world of mountain races with a dog or who even want to do it on foot. The main attraction is the return to Llac d'Engolasters.

No refreshments. Only in goal

  • Departure time: Saturday, October 14 at 9:30 a.m.

Race of 12 kilometers and 933 meters of positive slope. A more demanding race than the previous one, especially since the first kilometers are practically all the time uphill, reaching the highest point, the Refugi dels Agols.

With 1 refreshment station + refreshment station at the finish line.

Circular route for teams with experience in mountain outings, since some sections are technical and the difference in level is considerable. The most emblematic point is the arrival at the Entinyola pass with views of the Ensagents lakes.

LOCATION AND PROGRAM

The 4th OTSO Trail Dog 2023 will take place in Plaça dels Arínsols, Encamp, Andorra. 📍

The start and finish of the routes, the delivery of numbers and prizes, and the small exhibition of the sponsoring brands will be found in this same location.

Friday, October 13:

→ From 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.: Delivery of numbers

Saturday, October 14:

→ 8:00 a.m.: Start of the 21K

→ 8:45h: Departure of the 12K

→ 9:30 a.m.: Departure of the 7K

→ 2:00 p.m.: Awards ceremony and raffles

INSCRIPTION

Your registration includes:

Your registration does not include:

  • Does not include medical insurance: If you are not affiliated with an official mountain race federation, you must contract medical insurance for €10.00.
  • Material for the test: Each participant must bring the necessary material.

CATEGORIES, CLASSIFICATIONS AND AWARDS

Upload the podium and cup for the top 3 male and female classifieds of each race.

BASIC REGULATION

  • For animal health reasons, some breeds may not be accepted.
  • The dog has to be tied to the corridor.
  • For distances 21K and 12K: The dog must be tied with a shooting harness.
  • For 7K distance: The use of a shooting harness is recommended. If the dog is not on a leash, the tour can only be done on foot.
  • OTSO is not responsible for providing material to registrants.
  • Minimum age of the dog to participate: 12 months.
  • Maximum age of the dog to participate: 10 years.
  • The animal must have up to date all the necessary veterinary tests that verify its state of health. Mandatory to present the vaccination card.
  • The animal is not allowed to run after its partner, the dog will have to go ahead or at the same time at all times.
  • The runner can only pull the dog when changing direction, or when he is distracted to return to the circuit.
  • It is mandatory to give up the advance to other teams when the request to 'pass' is heard.
  • If the dog is aggressive and has to wear a muzzle, you should use a basket muzzle to allow it to open its mouth.
  • Physical or verbal abuse of the animal is strictly prohibited. Any case of violence will result in immediate expulsion from the test.
