42ª OTSO Travessa d'Encamp 2025

The OTSO Travessa d'Encamp 2025 is now open for registration! The 42nd edition of the oldest race in Andorra will be held on 23, 24 and 25 May.

This event will showcase five classic routes of 7, 12, 21, 42, and 84 kilometers, perfect for both beginner runners and those seeking a more challenging experience. Additionally, it introduces two new vertical kilometer races and two kids' competitions, offering something for the youngest participants.

The epicenter of the race will once again be the Plaça dels Arínsols d'Encamp, where all the races will start. A space that will be filled with life and excitement, becoming the meeting point for athletes, families and fans who wish to enjoy sport in a spectacular environment.

RACES

OTSO Travessa d'Encamp: Vertical Kilometer Initiation

With 2.74 km of distance, and 590m of positive slope that ascends from Plaça dels Arínsols to Els Cortals d'Encamp. This race is designed for those who want to try the vertical kilometer at a more accessible distance.

OTSO Travessa d'Encamp: Vertical Kilometer

With 4.91 km of distance and 1,032 meters of positive gradient, this race tests the strength, endurance and technique of the participants with a demanding route. It begins at Plaça dels Arínsols d'Encamp and ends at Cap de Rep, on the border between the parishes of Encamp and Canillo.

OTSO Travessa d'Encamp: Children 6, 7 and 8 years

This 1 km circular race is specially tailored for young children, with both the start and finish at Plaça dels Arínsols in the heart of Parroquia d'Encamp. It's a fun, accessible event designed to let kids experience the joy of competition in a lively, festive atmosphere.

OTSO Travessa d'Encamp: Children 9, 10 and 11 years

With almost a 3km loop, this race is intended for slightly older children looking for a moderate challenge. The start and finish line will be located in Plaça dels Arínsols, within the Parroquia d'Encamp.

OTSO Travessa d'Encamp: 7K

Ideal for those people who want to get started in the world of mountain running or who even want to do it walking, with a maximum running time of 3 hours. The main attraction is the sorroundings of Llac d'Engolasters.

The 12K race is more challenging than the previous one, particularly due to the first few kilometers being almost entirely uphill. The course reaches its highest point at the Refugi dels Agols, where the only aid station is located, aside from the one at the finish line.

A race designed for experienced mountain runners, as some sections are quite technical with significant elevation gain. This mountain half marathon offers stunning views and a scenic route, making it as rewarding as it is challenging.

An ultra-distance race designed for those who are not only physically prepared but also mentally resilient. This demanding course is tailored for highly experienced runners. Part of the race takes place at night, but we've planned the schedule so that even the slowest participants can complete the majority of the course during daylight, allowing them to fully appreciate the stunning landscapes along this long, challenging journey.

 REGISTRATIONS

Registration includes:

  • Custom bib
  • 1 unique t-shirt for each OTSO distance and custom sublimated socks from the race
  • 1 medal for all finishers
  • Refreshment stations (except in children's races)
  • Carrying the life bag to the life point (only for 84K)

Registration does NOT include:

  • Medical insurance. It is mandatory to take out medical insurance if the participant is not federated in mountain races.
  • Materials required for participation in the test. See mandatory equipment

Optional:

  • There is the option of reserving portions of paella for lunch on Sunday the 25th, both for those registered and for their companions.

CLASSIFICATIONS AND AWARDS

  • Medal for all finishers.
  • Podium + cup for the first three male and female finishers in each race. (children's races are not competitive)
  • Prize money in the 21K and 42K races, men and women:
    • 1st position: €750
    • 2nd position: €500
    • 3rd position: €250
