CAREERS

The epicenter of the OTSO Travessa d'Encamp will take place at Plaça dels Arínsols d'Encamp, where all the circular circuits will start and finish.

There will be 6 routes of different distances; 7K, 12K, 21K, 42K, 84K and 126K.

7k

A 7km race with 467 meters of positive elevation gain, it is ideal for those who want to start in the world of mountain racing or who even want to do it on foot.

The main attraction is the return to Lake Engolasters.

12K

Race of 12 kilometers and 933 meters of positive slope.

A more demanding race than the previous one, especially since the first kilometers are practically all the time uphill, reaching the highest point, the Refugio dels Agols.

UPDATE AFTER SLIGHT MODIFICATION OF THE ROUTE

We have been forced to modify a section of the route, avoiding an area where a protected species lives. Total kilometers and elevation gain are practically unaffected. After these modifications, a crossing point appears between the runners who go up with those who go down, so we will put staff to review this point.

Race for runners with experience in mountain races, since some sections are quite technical and the unevenness is considerable.

The most emblematic point is the arrival at the Entinyola pass overlooking the Ensagents lakes.

42K

Mountain marathon of 42 km and 3,039 meters of positive elevation gain, for expert and well-prepared runners, with very technical sections and a lot of unevenness.

Throughout the race you can enjoy fantastic landscapes, especially from the Pessons lake to the Agols refuge, passing through numerous lakes along the way.

84K

Race of 84 kilometers and 5,048 meters of positive slope. We are already entering the ultra distance, for all those who are not only physically prepared, but also mentally.

Demanding route for very expert runners. A part of the race is done at night, but we have tried that even for the fastest runners, most of the race is done during the day, being able to enjoy the landscapes that this long race offers us, such as a large part of the Vall d'Incles, the climb to Pic Maià, Grau Roig, the Montmalús pond and the incredible landscapes from the Pessons Refuge to the Agols Refuge, also passing through the l'Illa Refuge.

UPDATE AFTER WEATHER FORECAST:

For weather reasons, we are forced to make changes to the 84K route. Below we detail the most important changes: The supplies will be exactly the same. The total distance does not vary and neither do the time slices. Between the Refugi de Pessons and Refugi de l'Illa supplies, we only avoided the highest peaks because the forecast indicates thunderstorms and hail.

126K

126km race and 8,243 meters of positive elevation gain. Race like the previous one but with the added difficulty that in addition to being longer and with more unevenness, a good section is run at night, and some runners will have to spend two nights, since the start is scheduled for Friday at 11:00 p.m.: 00h.

The runners will enjoy the magnificent landscapes offered by the Incles valley, also passing the Pic Maià track, Grau Roig, the Montmalús pond and the incredible landscapes from the Pessons Refuge, to the Agols Refuge, passing also the Refuge of the Island.

UPDATE AFTER WEATHER FORECAST:

For weather reasons, we are forced to make changes to the 126K route. Below we detail the most important changes: Sand suppressed 2 aid stations. Some loops are also deleted and the race becomes 110 kilometers. The first refreshment station to be removed is that of Pas de la Casa, therefore, we will go directly from the Pic Maià piste refreshment station to that of Hotel Pic Maià. The one of Bosc Tossa Braibal is also suppressed. From the refreshment station at the Hotel Pic Maià, the race becomes exactly the same as the 84km race to the finish line. The total time allowed will remain 30 hours.
